September is a busy & exciting month for us here at Accent Elegance! We’re starting out the month getting settled in our new location – a studio space in the California building. Our new address is 2205 California Street NE, Suite 305 in Minneapolis.
We are working with two talented designers who are helping us plan our new space efficiently and give it just the right touch. We’re looking forward to hosting an Open House in the coming months… we’ll keep you posted.

This talented design/build firm is a owned by husband and wife team James and Rachel Julkowski. We’re thrilled to help them welcome guests to their “new digs.”
AuroraStone centerpiece platters and ‘Full Sail’ are on display and available for purchase at Charlemagne Fine Jewelry, 1262 Grand Ave in St. Paul. Stop by the store or visit their website at www.charlemagneongrand.com
We’re proud to be a sponsor this year at the Handmade Tile Association’s Minnesota Tile Festival. Last year, we won the award for Most Inventive Medium at the Festival – very exciting! It is Saturday, September 21, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis. You’ll have the opportunity to meet the artists, get ideas for your home, shop the booths and watch the Tile Fashion Show at 2 p.m. Be sure to stop in and see us too!
Late in September, we’ll be telling you more about Susan’s upcoming trip to Korea, where she has been honored with an invitation to show two pieces in the contemporary calligraphy collection at the worldwide exhibition held every two years in Jeonju, South Korea. She is looking forward to exhibiting at the festival and the opportunity to spend time with her mentor in China. This painting below, entitled ‘River Lullabies’ is a 54″ x 27″ piece that will be exhibited in Jeonju City, Korea this fall, then will travel to other cities in South Korea in 2014. It is brushwriting vertically in English. Reading top to bottom, left to right, it is translated to:
purify my soul
Ode to the North Shore
